Characteristics

Beautiful via ferrata in Dolomites. Relaxing passages alternate with the heavy ones and you really enjoy climbing. Beautiful views of the glacier below Marmolada and as a bonus ascent to the 3000 m high mountain.

Arrival

From the Brenner Motorway exit to Klausen and to the Pordoi (Pordoijoch). From here you will find a war cemetery where you park. Please do not park on a circular parking lot, it's only for the cemetery. 

Approach

From the graveyard on the Route 672 (orange-colored), follow the footpath and below the wall take right. 

Exit

1) Take the route 638 to the left and go to the top of Piz Boe (3152m) where you can refresh and go to cable car (55min) that costs 12 € and its opened till 5pm.

2) After finishing the ferrata, on the route 638 and go right (continue on the way from the top), pass the glacier lake until you reach a corridor where snow is held for a long time in the summer, and there is a need of abseiling using textile rope. When you leave this place, you leave the 638 road and turn right on the 627 which, at first glance, looks unpleasant and dangerous, but when approaching the usual mountain path is ok and the snow fields can be circumvented. You will soon  continue on the famous road to the car.
